"Boot the devil out"
Sometimes it’s hard to talk to the Lord
And even harder yet to pray,
Then the Holy Spirit whispers to me
I’m with you day by day.
When I get low and find myself down
Feeling sad and all alone,
God calls my name and says. "Hey you"
I’m here with you I’ve not gone.
Pick yourself up dust yourself off
And boot the devil out,
Give the Lord a thank you and
A praise, and a great big shout.
You have to choose this day you know
Which one you are going to serve,
There is not enough room for both of them
Your very best does Christ deserve.
Some people don’t think of the devil
As a robber a thief or an enemy,
Some just don’t even think he exist
But sad to say one day they will.
Don’t let Satan get a hold on you
Rebuke him and tell him to go away,
He knows his time is limited on earth
And he will be in hell one day.
