I try so hard to fill my days

With something that is worthwhile,

I enjoy reading and writing

I have since I was a child.

 

I think I will write a book

And I really want it to be,

A book of all my poetry

And all that is inside of me.

 

I live my life for the Lord

I try to be the best I can be

For I know my life is an open book

And I want the world to see.

 

You know that we’re on candid camera

And you know the world is watching you,

They watch how we react to things

They’re watching everything we do.

 

We may be the only bible some people ever see

So as we walk our path from day to day,

Just say to the Lord please walk with me

And remind me when I start to stray.

 

I do not want to be the cause

Of anyone going to hell,

So help me God be an example

And help me do it well.

 

The Lord Jesus died for me

And He also died for you,

Just hold on to His hand

In all that you go through.

 

Hold on to his hand and don’t let go

No matter how hard it gets,

Cause in the end you’ll smile and say

Thank you Lord, I have no regrets.
