Oh how I love the lighthouse

Oh how I love the lighthouse
I would love to live inside,
Lord it could be a beacon
For the lost it could be a guide.

But I know I cannot live inside
Of the lighthouse on the shore,
But my life can still be a beacon
To guide the lost a little more.

I've been out on the stormy sea
And could not find my way,
Then I saw a light that guided me
And a voice that seem to say,

Follow my light and don't look back
My child I'll carry you through,
I'll never leave you or let you down
No matter what you do.

I want my life to be a lighthouse
To help someone find their way,
I have to live so my light won't dim
Lord I need charging every day.

When my light grows dim and my power gets low
And I need to be recharged again,
My best power source is Jesus
No matter where I am there's always a plug in.

Lord let my life be a lighthouse
And let it shine all around,
Let it shine so bright for all to see
So more lost souls can be found.
