God wants to be part of my life

When troubles come my way,

He wants to be the first name I call

He wants me to trust Him every day.

 

He wants to be the one I lean on

If I do, He will never let me down,

And He wants me to know I can trust Him

And what I tell Him will never get around.

 

I put my complete Trust in God

Like Mom and Dad, He'll never steer me wrong,

I have given Him control of my life

I'm secure, cause to Him I belong.

 

I remember when I was a child

I believed my Mom and Dad,

I knew what they told me was true

I trusted them and everything they said.

 

I trust you Lord with all my heart

And I depend on you every day,

I know without you I can do nothing

And Lord I need you in every way.

 

Lord I want you to control my life

And I want you to go with me everywhere,

As I want each day in my daily routine

Help me know you are always there.

 

I have no worries; I know you are there

And I know that I am safe from harm,

I know that Satan cannot get to me

Cause I am safe in your arms.
