Jesus' Glorious Appearing

Behold, I am coming soon!
My reward is with me, and I will give
to everyone according to what he has done.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the beginning and the End.

Blessed are those who wash their robes so that they may have
the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.
Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral,
the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

I, Jesus, have sent my angel
to give you this testimony for the churches.
I am the Root and the Offspring of David,
and the bright Morning Star.

Revelation 22:12-16

The Jewish Wedding

In Jesus' time, when a couple married,it was an arranged marriage.
Parents would come together and arrange the betrothal for their children.
The man would go to his fathers house and begin to add on to it,
preparing a place for his bride. Now he couldn't claim his bride
until the father decided all the preparations were complete.
Then, according to tradition, the father would wake the son and say,
"It is time to claim your bride." The bridegrooms party
would then go running through the streets calling out,
"Wake up for the bridegroom comes to claim his bride!"
And after the bridegroom claims his bride,
he takes her home to be with him forever more.

Now after reading that I want you to read this scripture:


....."Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later."
Peter asked, "Lord, why can't I follow you now? I will lay down
my life for you.""Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.
I am going to prepare a place for you, I will come back
and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
You know the way to the place where I am going."
John 13:36- 14:4
Jesus is speaking of his coming crucifixion and resurrection.
And in the following passages he is speaking of His Glorious Appearing,
when he comes to claim his bride! For those who don't know,
that is all of His people. If you are a blood-covered,born again christian
then you are one of them! Oh what a glorious time it will be!

Jesus will come back to set up his reign on earth.
He will reign for 1,000 years, then the devil will be set
free from the abyss for a short time. Satan will be thrown into
the lake of fire with the beast(antichrist), and the false prophet;
there they will be tormented day and night , for ever and ever.
After this has occured, the dead will be judged according to
their deeds as recorded in the books. Everyones names were recorded
in the book of life at the beginning of creation, all who have accepted
Jesus as their Lord and savior are written in this book.
Anyone whose name is not in the book of life, will be cast into the lake of fire,
this is the second death! There they will be tormented day and night, forever and ever.
After the judgements are over God will send down the new Jerusalem!

When the new Jerusalem has come, God will live among His people!
