Our brave forces went to fight Saddam Hussein
& most of them came home safely again
but some of the brave men gave up their lives
leaving behind sad children & wives
some of the dead were only young lads
still mourned by proud mothers & dads
not really knowing the reason why
it had to be their son chosen to die
brothers & sisters comfort each other
over the loss of their Hero they called mother
not really knowing the reasons for war
still trying to grasp what the fighting was for
they say it was so that people were free
to live their lives like you & me
but it really is so hard to understand
losing a loved one in a foreign land
maybe in time the world will know peace
and all the fighting will cease
but to those who are grieving the bible it saith
theres a word to remember & that word is Faith

"A BATTLE PRAYER"
Young Warriors,
Should fate find you on the battlefield,
May your cause be a just one.
May your courage not falter.
May you show mercy to your enemies.
May your efforts bring the blessings of peace.
May you be triumphant and earn victory.
May your sacrifice be always appreciated.
May you endure the conflict unharmed.
Should you be harmed, May your wounds heal.
Should you perish in the struggle,
May God embrace you and find
a Place for you in his Kingdom.

"For The Families and Loved Ones of All The Fallen"
"Hero"
For those who fought on distant shore,
Who gave without a word;
Defending us with honor,
So gallantly they served.
For every boy who left his home,
Returning there a man;
And every woman who made a choice,
To make serving part of her plan.
For every fallen soldier,
Who gave all they could give;
To guarantee our liberty,
And the freedom that we live.
Each one who served with honor,
The brave, the tried, the true;
America gives it thanks today,
For we see a hero in you.
~Allison Chambers Coxsey
"Lest We Should Forget"
"Neverforget"
For those brave soldiers who fought but have not returned,
and whose fate is known only to God,
We must pledge together to them and to their families
to remember them each day and to do everything in our power
to speak on their behalf.
To find them and return them to their own soil, living and dead alike,
during a time of relative peace seems
a small enough sacrifice in comparison.
Can we in good conscience do less for the patriots
who sacrificed their existence for us and our well-being?
This is not simply the American thing to do,
and the humane thing to do,
it is the right thing to do.
