HAC 3/4 Westminster Clock

Here is a lovely example of a 3/4 Westminster clock, made by Hamburg American Clock Company (HAC, Germany). A 3/4 Westminster will play westminster at 15, 30, and 45 after, but on the hour, it will only strike the hours. It never plays the full westminster tune, because it does all the chiming and striking, using one train. This is accomplished by a rather complicated mechanism.

The case on this clock is solid. It's beautifully carved, and of the best quality. It is a very heavy and well made clock. It has it's original hands and dial (missing one grommet), and it's thick bevelled glass. It chimes on a set of 4 'German Silver' rods, which have a lovely tone.
