Empire English Mantle Clock

This is a lovely mahogany mantle clock, made by the Empire Clock Company (Henry Williamson Ltd.). The clock just happened to catch my eye, and I had to have it. It was a rather expensive purchase (for me anyway), but I'm not sorry I bought it. It has a lovely deep strike, and looks fantastic.

The two bracket feet on the front were broken when I bought the clock. I repaired these, but they were very tricky to do.

The movement is very well made, with thick plates, and nicely made parts. The dial is silvered and in excellent condition. The only flaw is the broken end of one of the bell flower decorations.
