Waterbury 30 Hour Ogee Clock

This was the first clock I ever purchased on eBay. I'm very happy I decided to buy it. It was in particularly BAD shape when I bought it, but I restored it, and had a lot of fun doing so.

The clock is by the Waterbury Clock Company, and was probably made around 1860. The movement is a 30 hour, weight driven time and strike (on wire gong), with alarm movement ringing on a seperate bell.

The clock was in completely original condition when I bought it. The dial is in average shape, with flakes of missing paint, and with brass gromets. The pendulum, and suspension wire are the originals. The upper and lower glass are old and wavy glass. The label is in very good condition, and can be easily read.

The only parts that are missing, or not original to the clock are the weights and key.

Durring my restoration, I had to clean the dial, paint the hands, clean the movement, alarm, and pendulum. The case was stripped (finish was very poor) and the missing veneer and trim were replaced and stained.

The clock doesn't work, though, because some parts are worn out, and I don't have the tools to fix them properly yet.
