This is a list of clocks on my wish list. Some are very hard to find, and expensive (and I may never own them), but others are fairly common ones.
Each clock is listed by type, showing a few examples of each. These are only meant to illustrate the type of clock I want to get. Some I am less picky about case shape/decoration, but I will put a note with each photo set.
4 or 5 Gong Westminster Chime Clock. I am not overly picky about the case style for this clock, or the maker. I would simply like a clock with this chime (gongs). Must be under $300.00.
Here's one I'm fairly picky about. It's a typical 30 Hour Ogee Clock with half columns. I'd prefer a Seth Thomas Plymouth Hollow with original tablet, dial, and hands in good shape, but haven't seen many. The one in the middle is very nice. That one is a New Haven. Preferably under $120.00 USD.
Ingraham Doric Clock. This is one I'm *dying* to find. I would prefer one with candy stripe or herringbone veneer, but that's not essential. I just want a nice one. The second and third one come in plain veneer, and are pretty much what I want. Must have nice glass (preferably with blue border as in 1st clock). Preferably under 150.00 USD (with stripe), or around $100.00 USD for a plain one.
Lantern Clock. I would settle for any decent lantern clock. Even a good reproduction. If I could afford it, though, I'd really like a weight driven one with crown wheel, and short pendulum, or balance wheel, with an original shelf and weights. (In my dreams, maybe). I can't afford more than $500.00 USD, realistically, at the moment, but I hope to find one some day, when I can shell out more money for one. If I were after a good one, I'd be willing to shell out over $1000.00, but I haven't got that much.
Miniature Steeple Clock (these are normally about 15" tall). Again, similar to the mini ogee clock, I've also been looking for a nice little mini steeple. Under $120.00 USD.
Musical Organ Clock. This is one of those "when I win the lotto" clocks. I will probably never own one, but I secretly lust for one. These go for thousands of dollars, so I don't see myself owning one for many years.
Another like above (when I win big), a Pillar & Scroll Wooden Works Clock. I'd love to own one of these, by any good maker. Even in horrible, dilapidated condition, I'd restore one from scratch if the price was right, so long as it has at the minimum, the main body (top can be missing, as well as the door), and the movement.
More clocks to be added soon!
