Welp I inherited this car from my wonderful mummy. But heck what is a gift when you can buy a ne rear axle for the shiney new price of $970. So my mom offically gave it to me after i got the car repaired, she said it was only worth $900 or so I could have it. I felt loved. Later on I started to notice rice hos around and decided to find out about this whole ricer scene. Hahaaha, I found once body kit for my wagon and laughed and scrapped that idea. I enjoy driving and I enjoy driving fast, this was no good for me. My mom twice forgot to put oil in the car when it got too low and seized the engine, twice... So there I was on interstate 95, midnight, I was tired so I was going 85 down 95 and then my engine rattled. I later found out that I blew 3 o the 4 pistons. So me liking my car and being cheap I found a new used engine (instead of buying a new car), a sohc zc. 120 hp 100 ft/lbs. of torque. I liked it, but it wasn't enough so now i've got myself a project for the beginning summer weeks. Check it out below.
Uber Naturally Aspirated SOHC Beast
Here is my setup:
- exospeed race regrind (396 lift 268 duration)
- 'lude 345cc peak and hold injectors - 10k rpm tach - arp rod bolts - d16a1 pistons, rings, and pins - magnaflow muffler - custom fab exhaust made by yours truly - d16y8 intake manifold - valve springs and retainers
My projected completion date is the end of the second week in June, thats to account for all my stupid mistakes and stuff. Im projecting a 185-200 crank hp setup. Thats 157-170 hp to the wheels. No turbo or supercharger or nitrous oxide. Once my engine is complete I plan to turn the exterior of my car into a clean representation of the Honda heritage. Thirteen years and 160,000 miles (as of 2/26/03) has created some rust, dings, dents, and weakened bumper supports. All in due time.
