Tony Nguyen's Engine Swap & Suspension write-up:
Engine Swap Info
This only applies to the 4wd model. 2wd doesn't need this modification. Tranny side mount has to be customized
because the mount on the frame rail sits about 1" higher then regular sedans/civic/crxss due to the original
cable shift linkage assembly. Part of the mount needs to trimmed in order for the mount to fit. I used spacers
1" tall in between the mount and tranny. Also had to use longer bolts since the originals were too short.
Shift Linkage
Use any shift linkage designed for the swap such as HASport's EF linkage. 4wd models dont have the area for the
shifter to sit so you must cut out your own.
Suspension
I used Axas Spec-RM coil overs originally for 96-00 Civics. To install in any 89-91 Civic/CRX/Sedan/Wagon you need
the front suspension forks from any 92-00 Civic. For the rear you need to shave down the bushing where the rear
shock fork goes over the arm.
