How it works

This snowman is, in essence, a complete refrigeration unit. It would be no different than your refrigerator or air-conditioning system at home. Of course we have modified the snowman to take advantage of frost build up, but still...it is the same thing. Basically we have taken the piping of the refrigeration system that is meant to get cold and made giant coils to form the shape of a snowman. Then we turn on the system and these pipe literally start to freeze and moisture from the air falls onto the pipe and forms snow. After a couple days the frost builds up so much it closes up and forms a solid shape. In our case, a snowman!
