Inventors

The creators of this new Christmas display are Jason Dunphy and his father Vince Dunphy.They are both originally from Newfoundland and moved west for work. Both now reside in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Jason Dunphy

Jason is married to his wife Kim and has two small children, Andrew and Matthew. Jason started his career by chance. His brother was pursuing a refrigeration mechanic trade, and Jason liked it so much that he gave up his accounting job and made a major career change. He apprenticed in British Columbia for two years and in Alberta for another two years. After that he wrote his final exam and moved to Saskatchewan. There he met his wife, got married, bought a house, had some children and opened an air-conditioning service business. At this time his dad joined him, and in the slow times they started to plug away at this snowman invention.

Vince Dunphy

Vince started his career out as a machinist. In an unfortunate event, his wife, Phyllis, lost her job, and was faced with moving to find another job. Both Vince and Phyllis figured if they had to move, they were going to be closer to their grandchildren, of course. So, they moved to Prince Albert, where Jason was currently living. Phyllis found work right away. Vince had a harder time. So, Jason asked if he was interested in being a business partner and starting a new trade. Vince thought this was a great idea and Jason signed Vince immediately as an apprentice,and sold him half of the shares in the company.
