My wife bought this car while she was still in high school. It was there it was dubbed "The Manson Mobile"... It was a somewhat reliable car for three years, until it broke down in South Carolina on the way back to Ohio from Florida in 2000. Since then it has been nearly impossible to find a motor that would fit. We are now making plans to restore it for a friend's first car.
In case you can't tell from the pics the Gand Am is being used for storage while we try to find an engine for it.
Our friend that is buying the Grand Am Freaked when she saw how dirty the car was so she came over, helped clean it up a bit and made us take more pics.
Unfortunately for this car it is being stripped down and sent to the crusher or a demolition derby if it is lucky. Finding a usable engine for this just wasn't possible and there was some rust on the body that wasn't found until we started stripping off the molding and exterior cosmetics. Some of the parts are usable and I am keeping them to sell, if you need something email me and I will see if I have it in usable condition.
