The horrible mess that is Viz

I believe this dime is thicker than my Shonen Jump...

Hello, you lucky bastards! I’m back to bitch again! And now Viz is in my sights!

My first problem with these money-loving bastards came when I bought Rurouni Kenshin Vol. 1. It was okay, except that they reprinted the same pages twice and left out a huge chunk of the story when they did so. They basically printed the first half of the chapter twice and never gave me the second. I e-mailed Viz about this, telling them of my problem, saying I was willing to ship them the manga to get a replacement. A month later, the e-mail me back, saying they'll replace it and to simply send my mail address.

That was over a year ago, I never got the replacement. I since gave the defected copy to Tasuki. - Hey, what can I say? Free manga's free manga...

My next problem comes as Viz released Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist manga. Pure laziness, there is no excuse for it. While the first manga seemed all right to me, as Kaiba and Mokuba got into it, it has gone downhill. Mokuba calling Kaiba 'KAIBA' is inexcusable and lazy. Do you call your brother by his last name? How about the last name associated with an abusive father? It's really, really lazy and makes me wonder if they translated most of it at all. Anybody who is into Yu-Gi-Oh! knows Mokuba calls Kaiba by mostly 'Nii-sama' or 'Big Brother'. If Kaiba's name is called by Mokuba, it should be 'Seto', but never Kaiba.

Then there are the oddest typos. In Duelist Number 5, more Mokuba calling out to 'Kaiba'...But then, something odd. Page 101, Kaiba vs. Yugi at Pegasus' castle. The thing that caught my eye, is that Yugi's Life Point box has JOUNOUCHI'S NAME! -_-.....Lazy.....lazy...... - Didn't you get the memo? Yugi's changed his name to Jounouchi, and Jounouchi's name is now Stink Bug.

Then there is Shonen Jump. I have since stopped reading due to how thin it has gotten compared to a year ago and the fact that about 1/5 of it is ads! ADS! Not to mention that none of the manga, save Yu-Gi-Oh! interests me anymore. The manga in it used to have 2-3 chapters per issue. Now you're lucky to have two per manga. Not to mention Shonen Jump's bullshit about preferring original art to traced. I sent this ( http://www.deviantart.com/view/19015192/ ) to Shonen Jump and in the following months, they printed mostly art that looked done by seven-year-olds and definitely traced. - But... but I thought my shitty artwork was good! Noooooooooooo!

Not to mention the subscription service. Tasuki herself gets a subscription and more often than not, come in shitty condition. - *sigh* Mine comes with corners bent, spines broken and/or with the cover rubbed and/or water damaged. I think either Viz or the mail service use my copies as the doormat for a month before sending them to me.

Viz, screw you. - Amen brudder
