BONUS ANNOUNCED
: Central Government has announced 59 days
of productivity linked Bonus for all employees for the year 2002-2003.The ceiling limit for the PL Bonus is fixed as Rs4849/-
VRS ANNOUNCED
: Railway Minister Sri Nitish Kumar stated that
facility of VRS would be provided to Railway drivers, Guards and Gang men. Children of the employees availing this scheme
will be considered for employment in Railways. This for the employees crossed 50 years as they will be suffering from health
problems and their performance is affected.
RESTRUCTURING OF CADRE
: All the posts of supervisors (erstwhile
Mistries) in grade 4500-7000 + Rs 100 special allowance excluding permanent way supervisors should be upgraded to the post of JE
II
in the pay scale of Rs 5000-8000 and merged with the respective cadre of technical supervisors with it’s spread effect in
5500-9000,6500-10500 and 7450-11500 as per revised percentage of posts prescribed for technical supervisors in these orders.
