I haven't done any real writing in a long time. The problem, I think, is just a general lack of any lasting ideas. I typically come up with a premise that doesn't lend itself to going anywhere without some modicum of planning behind it, and if there's one thing I'm bad at, it's planning.

So, rather than teach myself how to plan, I'm going to try to write a serial story of sorts, where the direction the story takes is based on reader input.

Inspiration largely came from MS Paint Adventures, although I don't anticipate having nearly as convoluted and silly a story as that. Though I suppose that would be up to the readers. I reserve the right to cherry-pick ideas I think I can actually run with, but who knows what ideas I'm going to actually have to choose from?

I've punched up an introduction to the story, using one of the aforementioned premises that doesn't seem like it will go anywhere without some pushing. The link to said intro follows:

I will get some better form of collecting suggestions sometime in the near future, shortly after I secure some ad-free hosting. I just wanted to vomit all of this up onto a free hosting site with a rudimentary page design (I'll see how motivated I am to improve on that) while I simultaneously had the free time and the idea. God knows how long either of those would have lasted otherwise.
