Planning: During
the planning process I used autoCAD to plan the size of the product and
how I wanted the finished product to look.
Cutting:
During the cutting I used wood, a measuring tape, combination square, and
an electric saw to cut all the pieces of my planner.
Edge banding:During
the edging I used the iron on glue banding. I cut it to the size needed
then applied heat for one minute.
Sanding:After
the edge banding the edges were rough, so with a little piece of sand paper
I sanded down all the rough edges to have a smooth piece of wood.
Assembly:
During the assembly I measured twice to make sure that the pieces were
exactly where I wanted them to be. Afterwards I used a nail gun to assemble
all my pieces together.
Finish:The
finish is fairly easy. I stained the wood and waited for it to dry.
Once it was dry I put a shine on it. The drying process takes about a day
depending on the amount of stain used. Once the drying process is over,
the product is complete.
