ABOUT ORGANIC SKIN CARE
THE FOUR PRINCIPLES BEHIND THE ORGANIC MOVEMENT AND ITS ORIGINAL SPIRIT
The organic farming movement, which is at the origin of the whole organic trend we are living today, has four important principles at its foundation:
- Health - to sustain and enhance the health of soil, plant, animal, human and planet as one and indivisible.
- Ecology - being aware of living ecological systems and cycles, to work with them, to emulate them and to help sustain them.
- Fairness - to build on relationships that ensure fairness with regard to the common environment and life opportunities.
- Care - to manage in a precautionary and responsible manner to protect the health and well being of current and future generations and the environment.

WHAT DOES ORGANIC SKIN CARE MEAN?
The term ‘organic’ is no longer foreign to people as is the demand for such products. People are searching ways to eat, look, and live healthier. Due to the increase of demand, manufacturers are producing more products and marketing them as ‘natural’ or ‘organic’. It can be very easy for consumers to be misled and not know whether their product is truly organic. By definition, organic skin care means that your product has been produced without the use of pesticides, artificial fertilizers or synthetic chemicals. Unless you have taken chemistry or remember anything from your chemistry class, you are bound not to know the differences.
Our skin is the largest eliminatory organ in the body. It is a two-way membrane. Toxins are eliminated through the skin via perspiration and absorbed through the skin into the body’s circulation system, through hair follicles and sebaceous glands, but not through the sweat glands. One square inch of skin contains approximately 65 hairs, 100 sebaceous glands and 650 sweat glands. Every square inch of you skin is like a thousand open mouths, absorbing into the body most of what is put on it. We want you to feed the very best food to your skin!
