Sitting in her dressing room Rachel is seen on the phone with a
smile as she twirls the cord around her index finger with her feet
up on the coffee table.
Rachel: "Mom... you don't need to come
in and check up on me. I am just fine."
Rachel laughs and rolls her eyes.
Rachel: "I have a busy week ahead of me
as it is."
Her mother interrupts her.
Rachel: "Mom! I have a match this
week and my first fan access at some music store."
Rachel listens to her mom on the phone for a few minutes.
Rachel: "Yes, I want you to come out
here but this week is just REALLY bad for me."
Rachel rolls her eyes because of what her mom is saying on the other
end of the phone.
Rachel: "I know, if I really wanted you
out here I would make the time. You told me that last week too
remember?"
She continues to listen to her mom on the phone.
Rachel: "Mom... Mom? MOM!!!!"
She finally manages to get through a mother's concern through
babbling to say what she has to next.
Rachel: "I have a match at Backlash and
I have to get it hyped as well as prepare for it physically and
mentally. I will call you tonight before I go to sleep okay?"
Smiling warmly now that her mom has agreed to cut this call short.
Rachel: "I love you too... and I
promise."
Hanging up the phone she places it close to her chest as she just
sits there for a minute before jumping up and looks around proudly.
Rachel: "This is so cool!"
Rachel leaves her dressing room, locking the door behind her.
```In The Ring```
Shinedown's - If You Only Knew - starts playing and Rachel emerges
with a bright smile and a gym bag in her hand. Rachel walks
down to the ring as the fans start warming up to the new girl on the
block.
Climbing into the ring over the middle rope she is greeted by
Lillian Garcia, who of course hands her off a microphone, assuming
she is here because she has thoughts for the week.
Nervously, Rachel takes the microphone before walking to the middle
of the ring where she looks out at the crowd and soon coughs then
starts her first official promo.
Rachel Renee: "Well I guess I should
come out here and say a few words about my match. I know this
is just a house show, but the more you guys get to see me the better
off I am right?"
A
warm reaction from the fans moves throughout.
Rachel Renee: "So I won't take up too
much time out here, but I wanted to show my respect for you the fans
as well as my opponent Lacey Von Erich. I mean after all she
is one half of the women's tag champs, right?"
Hearing Lacey's name the fans respond negatively.
Rachel Renee: "Don't be like that,
Lacey has done a lot in a little bit of time. I don't
necessarily agree with turning her back on a friend, but to each
their own I guess. I really hope we can have a great match.
I don't really have an opinion on you though, Lacey."
The crowd starts to sway Rachel with their negative response to
Lacey's name, but she stands firm to her convictions.
Rachel Renee: "I guess I will find out
who you really are. I have heard from my trainers you can
learn a lot about a girl by the way she wrestles. So I hope
you don't have any deep dark secrets. Because I am going to
learn them at Backlash."
She says then follows with a bit of giggling.
Rachel Renee: "I am not just some
pretty-dumb blonde, no pun intended. I expect to earn
everything I get here in the NBWF. I want to earn the respect
of not only the fans but my peers in the back. And of course
Stephanie McMahon."
Closing her eyes and bowing her head.
Rachel Renee: "So I hope you bring it
Lacey and I am sorry I did not have more to say. I hope you
give me more for the next time, Miss Von Erich - tag champion and
former hardcore champion."
Smiling sweetly her music picks up once again. Rachel leaves
the ring to a few more cheers then when she came out. Once in
the back she is confronted by her mother, who apparently was on a
flight in while on the phone with her.
