About This Website:

This website was made to encourage and advise those parents who wish to raise their children in a Christian home. Today's society seems to disregard religion and focus on modern things that are empty in the long run. We are missing God in our families and it is hurting our society. My prayers are for future families to carry on Christian traditions and raise their children in a fashion as to better our society and the world.

I do not claim to be an expert child psychologist and have never written any parenting books. I am simply a humble mother who has raised three children who are walking with the Lord to this day, with families of their own. This website is simply my thoughts on how I think parents should raise their children regarding Christianity. It focuses on things such as teaching about God, good activities for children to have (and not so good ones to have them avoid), schooling options and which are the best, rules to have, disciplining disobedient children, your child's friends, and church.

But first, a little about myself.

My name is Ruth Fisher. I am 68 years old. I was born and raised in Washington state, along with my two older brothers Max and Carl. I was blessed to have parents who loved the Lord and raised us to do the same. I met my husband, George, when I was 23 years old, while attending my local church. We were married and moved to Oregon where my husband owned a lumber company. We did not have children right away. My first child was born in 1978, when I was 34 years old. We ended up having two more children after that.

(Above photo is a picture of my three children, Laura, Rachel, and David. I believe this was taken in 1988.)

My children are all close in age. Laura was born, then two years later Rachel was born, then David the next year. Now, Laura is married with two children, Rachel is married with one, and David is married with two children. I love my grandchildren dearly! I am happy to say that all three of my children and their families still attend church and are raising their children in loving Christian homes.

My husband passed away three years ago. I know he now looks down on me from Heaven and knows that I love him very much.

I still reside in Oregon. I attend my local church, a baptist church, and am very involved with my church family. At home, I have my little dog Archie and he keeps things from being too quiet!
