Significant Sports Camp
The Significant Sports Camp is a five day sports camp for children and their parents. Each day the participants will learn about a different sport which are listed below. The goal of the camp is to bring parents closer to their children through participation in sports. The Significant Sports Camp is for children ages 8-12 and their parent(s). This years camp will take place from June 14, 2010-June 18, 2010 at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville's TRECS located on Andy Holt Avenue and all proceeds will go to benefit TRECS.
The goals of the camp are to improve the child’s interest and skill level in sports, encourage and support physical activity, and increase parent involvement with their children.
The camp costs $175 per parent/child pair and $50 for each additional person. This years camp can hold a maximum of 30 parent/child pairs. The fees include a food voucher that can be used in the Presidential Court Building for lunch during the week of the camp. Checks are accepted and can be made out to Significant Sports Camp. The camp will include the teaching of five different sports
- Monday: Basketball
- Tuesday: Soccer
- Wednesday: Flag Football
- Thursday: Wiffle Ball
- Friday: Dodgeball
