Faria Beach is no longer a spot to spend your summer vacations at, as most people that come to this exotic location, have become fans of the community built right on the edge of the beach. However, before people roamed Faria Beach, Manual Faria’s cattle roamed it in the 1900s. He was a rancher and was fond of the ocean so he decided to build his ranch on it.

Other ranchers followed suit and the moos, clucks, and neighs of animals joined the sounds of the ocean. Soon after, he and other ranchers became eligible to buy land for their own use. When the ranching industry shifted to other areas of California, the area became the ground for a summer camp for kids.

Joining the sounds of the ocean were the shrieks, laughter, and shouts of children horsing on the beach. Seeing the enjoyment of children on the beach, people built summer cabins to enjoy the beach in the 1930s. In 1980s, people’s mind started working and they began seeing the land as more than a spot to spend their summers. They erected houses, creating the Faria Beach community.

The name, as you can tell, was in honor of the one who started it all, Maunal Faria, the trendsetter of viewing the beach as more than a place to raise cattle. Now, the community that boasts more than 100 homes is a permanent residence for some and a vacation rental for others.

A Peek Inside Faria Beach Community

Faria Beach is more than just your average community. The community gets its celebrity status not just from its name, but also from the meticulously designed houses. With 90% of houses located on water or sand, the community has sustained its reputation as having luxurious beachfront homes for sale or rent. Whether you are coming to spend your vacation or residing there permanently, the inside of the houses will not disappoint you.

A typical house in Faria Beach is equipped with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a deck overlooking the ocean. However, your choice of lodgings does depend on the number of people coming to vacation or permanently live in

Faria Beach.

Since only a few houses are located away from the beach, you have a greater chance of finding a house by the water. The houses, which are not located on the beach, still have access to it and only a short walk is required to feel the water and the warm sand on your feet. If you come to live in Faria Beach, you will have a choice between two communities.

The difference between the communities is that one is a gated community while the other one is not. The gated community consists of sixty-six houses while the non-gated community consists of 120 houses. The benefit of living in the confines of the gated community is that you are provided with a tennis court, a children’s play area, luscious gardens, and biking.

For all residents of the gated and non-gated community, surfing lessons, snorkeling lessons, biking, and fun tide pools are available for recreational purposes. Moreover, it takes twenty-five minutes to travel to Santa Barbara, sixty minutes to travel to Los Angeles, and ten minutes to travel to downtown Ventura from Faria beach, which is good news for you.

On long weekends, you can take your entire family to visit these destinations, and it won’t take you long to get there. However, you can go to Ventura downtown anytime you want because it is known for its hip and happening nightlife with restaurants, malls, tourists, and locals roaming the streets.

The Faria Beach community is also known for its friendly neighbors who are willing to help new neighbors out. All in all, Faria Beach is a tight knit community that will provide you with a stellar view, both at night and in the morning.
