The Yowie Bay Yowie Research Society is the ONLY Yowie hunting group in the Sutherland Shire to have found tangible proof of the existence of Yowies. The lonely cry of the Yowie - not unlike the cry of the lonely man - was captured on 02/01/2020, and has been INDEPENDENTLY verified by multiple respected cryptozoologists as authentic. While this distinction as the lucky few has brought us significance and widespread respect within the Yowie community, it has also brought the ire of certain groups hellbent on destroying all we've achieved
The YBYRS was born from the ashes of Sutherland Shire Sasquatch Sightings, a once respected network of truthers that fell to the the tyranny of an administration that holds CONTEMPT for this community. What was once a discipline based on objective proof and scientific expertise became a soapbox for the layman to report their "findings" without any proof whatsoever.
The YBYRS does NOT delight in drama. We believe infighting hurts this community perhaps more that the bureaucratic red tape of the big government bureaucrats in power. However, the people spoke. "We want objective Yowie research" They screamed. "Bring expertise back to the Yowie sphere". It was us who answered the call.
