And here we have M’ran, my bluerider NPC. M’ran was another spinoff character from my brownrider A’drov, a nephew who is only two Turns younger. He is the son of Dranela, A’drov’s oldest sister. Dranela is a bit of a martinet, who needs to know exactly what is going on at all times and has to be in control, but M'ran is a happy go lucky fellow who allows life to flow around him without really getting bothered by much of anything. He can be a bit of a chatterbox when he is excited, and likes the ladies, although he has trouble committing himself to any one woman. This particular attitude drives his mother crazy, which may be part of the reason he is the way he is. When you feel like you are over-controlled all the time, it’s natural to want to break out and rebel in some way.

M’ran stood three times before he finally managed to Impress his blue Anatolath, who actually ended up on top of him at their Impression. M’ran was very happy about this, because this was his last chance to Impress at all, as he was now 24, and that is the cutoff age for standing. That was the only Hatching that he was actually nervous at, because he knew that if he didn’t Impress, he’d end up without a lifemate forever, and he didn’t want people to think him a failure.

He is almost finished with his training, and very happy to once again be able to have sex, since he missed it for the Turn-long ban. He’s still not really looking for a woman to be with forever, since Anatolath is enough for him to be happy with, and girls are just icing on the cake. Perhaps someday he’ll find the perfect woman, but as he’s only an NPC, I’m not in a rush to get him weyrmated or anything.

Standing at 5'8 tall with brown hair and brown eyes, M'ran has a generous smile that is on his face more often than not and a joking nature that is irrepressible, if at times inappropriate. While he has little preference for what he wears, his clothes do manage to reflect his cheerful nature, with bright colors and wild patterns.
