Reviews: Led Zeppelin III

Led Zeppelin took a break after there long tour for Led Zeppelin II, they needed to write new material. Jimmy and Robert took their families up to Wales to a cottage without electricity. There they Jimmy brought his guitars and the guys just relaxed and wrote. A lot of the material on LZ III is of a much different nature than any other Zeppelin previously released...or for that fact, even released later.

The main reason that I love this album so much is because of all the acoustic work on it. I am in total love with the acoustic guitar. And that is what makes this album. Since I've Been Loving You is one of my favorites here. It has such a blues effect on it. If you watch the movie, The Song Remains the Same you will get a close up view of Pagey as he moves his fingers. I think that is what caught me with this song. It is pure amazement.

Gallows Pole and Thats the Way are probably my favorite songs on here. It is so hard to make a solid decision. Tangerine isn't bad either, ha I can play that on guitar not real bad. Maybe thats why!
