SMOKE AND MIRRORS PART 3

Narrator: As we left off , secret suddenly left the Batcave
unexpectedly, in search of her mother "Nash Mist" leaving
Robin behind totally dumbstruck and pissed for now he had
to trace down secret, as well get to Manchester Alabama, for
he couldn’t let secret go face her mother alone. And not to
mention who lives in Manchester, Robin had to make sure
that by any chance if she ran into him that he wouldn’t foul up
this plan.
Secret: *Flying high above Manchester * *thinking * I got to
find her! I just have to! There so much I must know. Of who
I am, and why did I end up with the DEO? And………… why
is it I have no real memory of my early life. *gliding down to
local park, weaving through the trees, leaving a smoky mist,
curling up in the trees branches * I have to know.
Narrator: at the very same time Impulse (Bart Allen) was
running around on patrol (as max called it) watching over
Manchester, for any trouble occurring. Or as it
seemed…………
( Sweet Retreats ice cream parlor)right across the street from
the park.
Employee: C'mon man make up your mind already! Look
you've been standing here 20 minutes already, and I was
s'pose to close the shop 15 minutes ago so can you hurry it
up a little!! If I get caught the boss is gonna whip my a**!!
Impulse: *looking at selection * so sue me. Uh?……… o.k
I got it I'll have a double or, should I make it triple? No
double! no triple! No I mean single! Yes single scoop of choc-
no strawberry's better no rocky road, I mean mint -uh!?
(Employee getting impatient) *tapping foot* Employee:
come-?! *freeze * W-what the!? The park! Its! Its! (points to
window)
Impulse: *not paying attention * O.k I'll have a-*looks up*
sees employee dialing up on phone * uh hello! I made my
decision! Hello I made up my mind!
Employee: yes? Hello ? Manchester fire department? Yes I
have a report of………….
Impulse: fire department? *looks out store window * woah!
*sees trees giving off big puffs of smoke * speeds off toward
park * having deep suspicion*
Narrator: on the road Robin is trying his very best trying to
track down secret, with a tracer device that could pick up
any abnormal activity happening in any certain location he
chooses. In this case secret heading south to Manchester.
Robin: Man she's fast! Wish she would slow down a bit, my
tracker seems to be loosing touch with her. *passes sign
saying in bold print "WELCOME TO MANCHESTER" * well
at least I'm in Manchester now. Hold up secret, cuz I'm right
behind you! *pulls on handles, gassing up redbird, and takes
off *
(Back at the park) Impulse : *really confused look on face * I
don’t get it! * Looking up at tree * I mean the trees smoking
but……… where's the fire? *runs off to tree to tree, not
noticing any difference, to any of them * must be some kind
of park, he thought.
Narrator: then just as he was about to leave he noticed
something moving in the far distance of the park, right across
the lake exactly, for he could pin point it . And at that point
was one tree smoking more than any of the others did,
constantly , like something was just sitting there.
Impulse: *rushes off toward tree * running on the lake. O.K
you! Uh? Whoever you are come out I know your there!
…………if you wont come out then I'll……
*states running around tree creating a whirlwind * thinking*
this should get them to come out.
Secret: hey!? No!-n-no! no! please -please stop! Don-
Impulse: huh? Wait I know that voice! (Having flash back of
a beige smoky girl) stops running.
Narrator: Shocking isn't it? He actually listened
Secret: (slowly starting to reform back ) thank you! If you
had run any faster I would have dissolved completely, and it
would of taken me evan longest to reform. I-
Impulse: I know you! You're that girl, I helped save from the
DEO! *grin *
What was your name?
Secret: that’s just it! I don’t know! You see I went to your
leader Robin, for help to try to track down some info on my
past and-
Impulse: Rob is the leader?! Says who?
Secret: Well……the papers do and-
Impulse: Really!? Boy Superboys gonna lose his head when
he hears this! * Imagines Superboy with steam coming out of
his ears, and strangling Robin*
*laughs under breath *
Secret: *Fustrated *(almost in tears)ugh! Listen! as I was
saying!!! I went to him for help to find something about my
past and it ends up I found out who my mother is!
(Impulse looking at tree)
Impulse: (looks back at secret) huh?! Who are you?!
Secret:………?I……what?!
Impulse: oh sorry! I forgot where I was for a minute.
Secret: um? O.K. anyway I found out who my mother is!
Impulse: really!? Who?
Secret: her name is Nash mist. From what info Robin was
able to collect it was said she is located at some security
prison for supervillians somewhere in Manchester.
Impulse: want me to help? Cuz, at the moment I'm not really
doing anything, and……well um? uh? I could cover this
whole place in a couple of seconds if you want, and try to
find the place for you.
Secret: *smile * oh that would be great if you could! It would
save me so much time and-
(sounds of sirens echoing through the streets) Fire hydrants.
Impulse: We better move or the cops will see you.
Secret: the cops? Are they like the DEO?
Impulse: Sorta , not exactly. They're not as harmful, but way
more annoying, so we better move.
Secret: O.K I'll meet you over in that ally behind that Ice
Cream ………*looks at clerk inside running around the shop
franticly trying to close it down* he sure is in a hurry.
Impulse: Whoops! Ah? He! um?- So behind that shop right?!
*looks at clerk nervously, in window *
Secret: oh uh?-yes.
Impulse: Alright.
Narrator: A few moments later.
Impulse: uh, Secret? You there?
Secret: yes I'm here fast kid.*pops up in Impulses face from
the ground curling up*
Impulse: It's Impulse. Not "fast kid "or" kid flash".
Secret: Oh, o.k then. Sorry *giggle * Impulse I mean.
Robin: *still on the road * beep!beep!* (tracker device going
crazy)
Got'cha! *No more than a minuet later * drives in alley*
There you are!!!
Finally! I thought I lost you.
Impulse: Robin!
Robin: oh hi impulse.-Impulse!? w-what are you-
Impulse: I live here remember?
Robin :…yeah.
Secret: Robin, I said I want to face my mother alone. I really
do appreciate your help but I must do this alone.
Robin: no way secret, I'm not letting you go alone on this
one, and besides you don’t evan know where the place is.
Secret: that’s why I have the fast- uh? I mean Impulse here
to help me! He's gonna find the place for me.
Impulse : yeah rob.
Robin: hummm………*thinking* well with Bart we will find the
place faster. Oh! What the hell! O.k Imp. Go run your little
heart out, and we'll be right behind you.
Impulse: Kewl! *runs off *
Secret: *excited * C'mon lets go!
Robin: Why is it I have this sudden cringing feeling in my
stomach? *groan! *
Starts up Redbird, takes off after Secret and Impulse.*
