Statement of intent
On this night, I invoke the powers of fire to protect me from all that
would harm me, whether physically, mentally, emotionally or
spiritually.
Start at the south.Light the candle, shouting:
Nothing from the South can harm me!
Imagine the flame creating a wall of protection on that side of you
Move West, light the candle and shout:
Nothing from the West can harm me!
Again, with each candle you light, imagine the wall around you
growing in power and intensity
North, light the candle and shout:
Nothing from the North can harm me!
East, light the candle, shouting:
Nothing from the East can harm me!
Hold up the Southern candle to the sky, shouting:
Nothing from above can harm me!
Place it back on the earth, shouting:
Nothing from below can harm me!
Sit in the center of the circle, watching the candles burn.
Know that the fires are burning away all evil and harm that comes your
way.
Meditate on the flames and feel their power forming a shield around you -
a shield you can erect anytime you feel threatened.
Cakes and ale (eating bread and drinking wine or juice to restore
energies spent during ritual)
Release circle
Thank the Goddess and God for their protection and presence in your
circle
Go to each of the four directions in turn, saying:
Guardians of the East (South, West, North),
Powers of Air (Fire, Water, Earth),
I thank you for joining in my circle
And I ask for your blessing
As you depart
May there be peace between us
Now and forever.
Blessed be.
Raise your athame to the sky and touch it to the earth, then open your
arms and say:
The circle is open, but unbroken,
May the peace of the Lord and Lady
Go in my heart
So Mote it Be!
Binding
The purpose of this spell is to rid yourself of the negative energies
of someone who is mentally or emotionally abusing you. If done
properly, it will not harm the object of the spell nor will it affect his
or her daily life in any way. It will simply make the person
powerless to mentally or emotionally harm you.
Materials:
Small cloth doll, leave the head unstitched until you are ready to
begin the ritual
Needle and thread
Some personal item from the person you want to bind (fingernail
clippings, hair, handwriting sample)
Black ribbon
Black candle
Cauldron or other fireproof container
Sterilized needle
Piece of paper and pen
One candle at each quarter (optional)
Ritual:
Call the quarters - I like to use candles at each quarter to form a
circle of fire for extra protection.
Light the black candle
Concentrating deeply on the person you are binding, place the
personal object inside the head of the doll and sew it shut.
Tie the black ribbon around the poppet's head, signifying the binding
of that person.
''With harm to none, my will be done
I hereby bind you (name of person)
Your words cannot harm me
Your thoughts cannot harm me
You cannot harm me''
Continue chanting this or something like it until you feel power surging
through you. Visualize the person helpless to slander or verbally and
mentally abuse you while you are chanting.
Now, to bind the spell -
If you have a sigil or a Craft name, sign it on the small piece of paper. If
not, sign your own full name. If others are working the ritual with you,
they too should sign the paper.
With the sterilized needle, prick one of your fingers and put a small drop
of blood over your signature. Again, if others are working with you, they
should place a drop of blood over their signatures. (using a different
needle, of course)
Fold the paper, light it on fire and drop it into the cauldron (which should
be on a heat-proof surface!).
Meditate on the flames until the paper completely burns away. If you are
working with a group, join hands at this point and feel the power surging
around the circle as the spell is bound.
Ground and center
Release the circle. Thank the Goddess and God for their protection and
power
Bury the doll as far away from you as possible within the next few days.
Tool Consecration
Tools
Incense (in the east)
White candle (in the south)
Small bowl of water (in the west)
Small bowl of salt or earth (in the north)
Cast the circle
Before these spirits, I bring (name of tool) to be dedicated to the
service of the Lady and the Lord.
Pass the tool three times through the smoke of the incense, saying:
By power of air, be purified.
Be dedicated to purity, that all goals you help acheive may harm
none and be for good of all.
Pass the tool three times through the flame of the candle, saying:
By power of fire, be purified.
Be dedicated to desire, that all goals you help acheive may harm
none and be for good of all.
Sprinkle a few drops of water on the instrument, saying:
By power of water, be purified.
Be dedicated to emotion, that you be used in a spirit of harmony,
harming none and for good of all.
Touch instrument to the earth or salt, saying:
By power of earth, be purified.
Be dedicated to steadfastness, that my will be acheived without
wavering, with harm to none and for good of all.
Presentation to the Lord and Lady
If this is a chalice, present it first to the Lady, then to the Lord. If it is
an athame, reverse the order. All other instruments, use your own
preference, but it is a courtesy to present to Her first.
Presentation of Chalice
Lady, bless this chalice, let it be a vessel of productivity that may be
worthy to reside in circle with you.
Let it be so bound that no harm may come of it to any being.
To thy service, I dedicate this vessel, that it and I may be long of service
to thee.
Lord, bless this chalice that it may bring forth joy and purity.
Guard the works which come forth from it, that they harm none and be
ever in the service of thee and thy Lady.

Presentation of Athame
Great Lord, bless this athame. Let it be pure for thy service and bind it
so that no harm may come of it to any being.
Lord, bless this athame, that it be used always in the worship and honor
of the One.
Lady, bless this athame that it may bring forth joy and purity, and shall
cause no harm to any being.
I dedicate this athame to thy service, Great One.

Release the circle
Handfasting Ritual

The entire area is first consecrated with salt, water, and purifying incense
such as ceder, frankinsence, sage, or sandalwood. Erect an altar and place
upon it two, white, illumination candles, a censor of insence, a dish of
salt or soil, a brass altar bell, a wand, a chalice of water, a cup of rose
oil, a quartz crystal, the wedding rings, and two white cords.
Cast a circle in a clock-wise direction using an athame or ceremonial sword.
Bless each guest with greetings and insence, then ring the altar bell thrice.
The couple enter the circle holding hands. They face the altar (north)
and bless them with greetings and incense. The wdding guests form a human
circle chain around the altar with the High Priest/ess and the couple
in the center. The High Priest/ess raises her arms to the sky and says:
IN THIS SACRED CIRCLE OF LIGHT
WE GATHER IN PERFECT LOVE
AND PERFECT TRUST
O GODDESS OF DIVINE LOVE
I ASK THEE TO BLESS THIS COUPLE
THIER LOVE, AND THIER MARRIAGE
FOR AS LONG AS THEY SHALL LIVE
IN LOVE TOGETHER
MAY THEY EACH ENJOY A HEALTHY LIFE
FILLED WITH JOY, LOVE, STABILITY
AND FERTILITY.
Hold the dish of salt or soil before them and let each of them place their
right hand over the dish.

The couple must than face east. Ring the altar bell thrice and smudge
the couple with incense.

The couple must then face south. Hand each of them a white candle to be
held in thier right hand. Light the candles and hold the wand above them
as the High Priest/ess says.

The couple must now face west. Sprinkle the water from the chalice over
thier heads.

They must then return to the North. Anoint thier foreheads with Rose oil
and hold the crystal above them.

They place the rings upon eachother's fingers.
They exchange thier vows and poetry.
Then consecrate the cords as the rings.
Then hold the cords side by side and have the man and woman take an end
and tie a knot. Tie it in the middle of the cord and say:
BY THE KNOTS ON THIS CORD
YOU'RE LOVE IS UNITED
Tie the hands of the couple together with the cord and have all the guests
visualize a white light of energy surround the couple as thier auras join.
Everyone must raise the energy by chanting love!
BY THE POWER OF THE GODDESS
AND HER HORNED CONSORT
I KNOW PRONOUNCE YE
HUSBAND AND WIFE
FOR AS LONG AS YE BOTH
