Pumpkin Bread



4 1/2 cup flour
4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups oil
1 1/2 cups water
3 cups pumpkin
6 eggs
3/4 tsp. baking powder
2 1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 cups dates, cut small
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Heat oven to 325*. Grease 3 to 4 9x5x3-inch loaf pans. In large bowl, cream oil and sugar until smooth. Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water. Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder and soda, and spices. Stir in dates and nuts.

Pour into pans. Bake 1 1/2 hours or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
