peddlers selling smithereens
from different wars
shrapnel from General Lee
taken, maybe, from his knee
but that's not true
from that long ago
like Mr. Castro's cigars
have been burning for years
and gifted strikers
short-winded hikers
as well as window wipers
wipe the tears
from long ago. Maybe
This is another one I just scribble in my notebook one day. En Passant
is a chess term, meaning "in passing," an is only done by pawns. Everyone
cries....sometimes. Maybe. This should almost be the one entitled "Pawns
of Paranoia." This can be summed up in another:
Everyone is out to get you
They'll get your money
Pain, pain
Lies, lies
They've always lied
everyone tries
but everyone cries
they always have. Maybe.
