DARK DAY IN LOVE

She just looked away
A cold, dark wind
From clouds, dead grey
Hit my heart head on
As she walked away

My watch said 11:34
The wall-clock chimed 7 times
Guess my watch don’t work no more
I feel like hell
cuz she’s not here no more

Her eyes were never aimed at me
But somewhere far beyond
I never even noticed as she
Let go of my hand
How lonely I could be

I guess I should’ve known
That she wasn’t gonna’ stay
With her real feelings shown
My tears began to fall
Another pretty leaf has blown
