I don't love to read, but I have read and enjoyed some books. I love MYSTERIES! Whodunits are great! It's why the "Scream" movies are so great! PATRICIA MOYES Patricia Moyes is the author of the Henry Tibbett series. Henry Tibbett is Chief Superintendent of Scotland Yard. The mysteries are usually really cool. People who like Whodunit mysteries should check them out. This is the Henry Tibbett series: *DEAD MEN DON'T SKI ...................................... 1959 *DOWN AMONG THE DEAD MEN ................................. 1961 DEATH ON THE AGENDA ...................................... 1962 *MURDER A LA MODE ........................................ 1963 *FALLING STAR ............................................ 1964 *JOHNNY UNDERGROUND ...................................... 1965 *MURDER FANTASTICAL ...................................... 1967 *DEATH AND THE DUTCH UNCLE ............................... 1968 *MANY DEADLY RETURNS (AKA, "WHOS SAW HER DIE")............ 1970 SEASON OF SNOWS AND SINS ................................. 1971 *THE CURIOUS AFFAIR OF THE THIRD DOG ..................... 1973 *BLACK WIDOWER ........................................... 1975 *THE COCONUT KILLINGS (AKA, "TO KILL A COCONUT)........... 1977 *WHO IS SIMON WARWICK? ................................... 1978 ANGEL DEATH .............................................. 1980 *A SIX LETTER WORD FOR DEATH ............................. 1983 *NIGHT FERRY TO DEATH .................................... 1985 *BLACK GIRL, WHITE GIRL .................................. 1989 TWICE IN A BLUE MOON ..................................... 1993 *ones I've read BRAINDROPPINGS.......By GEORGE CARLIN This book is hilarious! It's almost like watching him do stand-up! You can picture how he would deliver the lines. It is funny...and often really, really, really weird...I think he'd really be happy to hear that. If you like Comedy, especially CARLIN, It's a must!!! DON'T STAND TO CLOSE TO A NAKED MAN....By Tim Allen An excellent book, especially if your a fan of the ToolMan. He describes various times in his life, and naturally, there's humor in it. You could buy Those Bob Vila books, but Tim's book has MORE POWER, Agh-AGH-agh... THOMAS GIFFORD Thomas Gifford is a fiction writer. I bought "The Assassini" for one dollar at a rummage sale. A few months after I bought it, I started reading it. It grabbed my interest, and although, I took several breaks, I finished it, and it was really good. So, I bought some more of his books. THE ASSASSINI "The Assassini" is about a lawyer named Ben Driscoll who stumbles upon a Secret brotherhood of killers known as the Assassini while investigating his sister's death. The Pope is ill, and The Vatican officials are figuring out who's to succeed. The book has some great plot twists, and some good action. It does have about 600-700 pages...but it's good. THE WIND CHILL FACTOR "Hitler lost the war. But some Nazi survivors view their defeat as a temporary setback. Now their key personnel, in place inside the corporations and capitals of every major nation, are rerady to make their move...unless John Cooper, a man who thought he'd turned his back on this evil forever, can find a way to stop them" It took me only a few days to read this book. It was cool! THE FIRST SACRIFICE The sequel to "The Wind Chill Factor." John Cooper's estranged sister contacts him, and tells him that her child is missing. John goes to Germany, and finds himself up against Neo-Nazi thugs, and their leader--who is married to John's sister. Not a bad sequel... PRAETORIAN "London, 1941. American radio correspondent Rodger Godwin has been chosen by Prime Minister Churchill to cover the story of a lifetime: a daring raid to assassinate Field Marshal Rommel. But the mission, code-named Praetorian, is a disaster, and now, a gravely wounded Godwin wants only one thing: revenge against the traitor who leaked the plan to the Nazis." SAINTS REST This is the sequel to "The Assassini." I just bought this book, and I haven't read it yet. I have other books I have to read first...one of my classes is "Good Books." So, it'll be a while before I read this one. I have a feeling it'll be good! THE LOW END OF NOWHERE I recently...Ha!...about a month and a half ago, read "The Low End of Nowhere, by Michael Stone. This was a pretty good book. I think it was well written with that cool dry sense of humor. I love that! GREAT POLITICAL WIT: LAUGHING (ALMOST) ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE I just bought "Great Political Wit," by Bob Dole. It's a collection of of funny quips and things Dole has heard during his life. I saw him on Letterman a few weeks ago, and it was funny! He has that dry sense of humor that I love. After I saw him there, I just had to get the book.
