GnorG'Nort: Alter Ego: G'Nort Esplanade Gneeshmacher First Appearance
Justice League International #10 (February 1988)
G'Nort is from a "large planet with a continent shaped like a bone", and
has been a member of the Green Lantern Corps and Justice League
International. His uncle Gnewmann was a member of a fake Green Lantern
Corps that had been set up by fake Guardians of the Universe who were
really alien clowns, the Poglachi. Their goal was to discredit and
embarrass the "real" Green Lantern Corps, and they were doing a good job
until Guy Gardner showed up. G'Nort helped Guy defeat the Poglachi, and
Guy asked the "real" Guardians of the Universe if G'Nort could receive a
power ring and become a Green Lantern. They agreed. G'Nort has served
with the Corps and the Justice League for years, often irritating his
teammates because of his lack of knowledge regarding Earth, crimefighting,
and life in general. He was the leader of the JLI Antarctic Embassy until
it was destroyed in an attack by killer penguins. His archenemies are the
Scarlet Skier and Mr Nebula, whose goal is to redecorate the universe one
solar system at a time.
