Prologue:
The night air was filled with screams from a small house in a forest that was set on fire. A small figure made it’s way away from the house creeping silently as it could, a small cry came from a bundle it was carrying. The figure started singing softly to it. “Hush now my baby be still love don’t cry for I will deliver you to safety so now hush my baby go to sleep now RiverLily....” The figure stopped singing as a arrow struck her back. She risked a small look behind her as a another arrow pieced her heart, just barely missing the small bundle she was carrying. She started to run as fast as she could holding the bundle closer and her breath started to become heavier as some shadows were catching up to her. As a last resort when she hit a dead end and as the shadows were coming closer, she backed up to the wall and raised a bloody hand. A small light came from her hand and she threw it down with all her might to the ground. She disappeared into the bright light as one of the shadows fired a arrow into the light.
Chapter one
Skimbleshanks was mindlessly walking though the junkyard of the Jellicle cats and saw his good friend Munkustrap sitting with Demeter, Munkustrap’s mate. He walked over towards him as Demeter looked and saw him. “Hi Skimbleshanks......What’s wrong?”
“Oh....hi Demeter mind if I talked to Munkustrap alone?”
Puzzled at her friend request got up and leave them alone. “I have to go and check on my sister anyway.”
Munkustrap look towards Demeter then turns to Skimbleshanks and became concern for his friend. “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know....just a few seconds ago I heard a voice in my head......”
“That’s Mistoffelees that you have heard.”
“No, it’s not. It was a female voice and she kept on saying ‘help me, help me’ over and over again. It’s confusing me, I don’t know what I should do. I just don’t know what to do.”
“Are you sure it’s not Mistoffelees?”
“Yes I am sure.”
“Then I don’t know how to help......”
Just then a storm came roaring in startling the two cats. “Get everyone to the pipes hurry!” Munkustrap yelled at the top of his voice as cats were running as fast as they can to the pipes.
Jellylorum looked out of the pipes and saw Pouncival curled up in a tight ball outside the pipes. “We have to get him!
Munkustrap ran out of the pipe and was over Pouncival just as lighting struck the ground just next to them.
“NNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!” Demeter yelled at the top of her lungs as she saw her mate getting struck by lighting. She was about to go running out when she saw Munkustrap and Pouncival standing there with the lighting bolt moving around them and around the junkyard. The cats watch in awe at the lighting bolt then it disappeared and just as the storm came it was gone! Standing in its place was a small figure. The cats could not come out just as an arrow came out as well and struck the figure at the neck. It let out a wild scream and fell to the ground. Munkustrap with Pouncival walked up to it and gasped at the sight before them, let out a yelp of surprise as it barely stood up and looked at the two startled cats. It backed away as the rest of the cats ran to the aid of Munkustrap.
“Back.....back away from....from me.......” The figure threaten as it falls to the ground and reaches for the arrow in it’s heart. It pulls it out as Jennyanydots runs to it and takes a closer look at it, barely recognizing that it was a female because blood was all over her.
“Hurry get some help hurry she doesn’t have much time to live.”
“No don’t waste your time saving someone like me I am not worth it...”
"Don't say things like that. Mistoffelees do something, heal her, anything, she’s too young to die.”
Mistoffelees came running up to them and gasped at the sight before him. He raised a paw to heal her and then a small lighting bolt zapped his paw. “What the heck?!?!?!?!”
“It’s too late to save me, I am suppose to die but please....help....m...” The female took a deep breath then rolled her eyes to the back of her head and died on Jennyanydots lap.
The cats hung their heads in respect for the dead female then Munkustrap broke the silence. “I guess we should clean her up and bury her. Skimbleshanks, Asparagus come and help me clean her up and digging.”
The cats whom Munkustrap called walked forward and looked at the kitten whose eyes were red from crying, then they looked away and continue to walked to where Jenny and the female body were. They picked it up gently and walked to a small part of the junkyard and started cleaning her and after they finished they began taking the arrows out of her. They walked back in shock.
Munkustrap started to walk up to the body and examine it more closely and shook his head in disbelief. The female looked a lot like a human but was small,very beautiful, had a small pointed nose, and pointed ears. The cats looked to Munkustrap then back at the body then kept on doing this. In disbelief Munkustrap walked back to them and said calmly. “Let’s start digging for her.” They nodded.
Skimble started to dig as a small cry came from the body which made him jump and turn around. Another cry came from the body and Skimble walked to the body then notice the piece of cloth around her body was starting to move. Munkustrap jumped over him and got ready to attack as Skimble remove the cloth and gasped at the sight of a small baby. The baby looked at him and started to cry as Asparagus and Munkustrap saw it was a girl. “So that’s what she meant, help her baby.....” Skimble quickly grabbed the baby and started making cooing sound and licking her clean of the blood that was on her mother. The action made the baby stop crying and made her giggle. “Awww.... now ain’t she cute?” Skimble ask still cooing her.
“Well, yes, I guess.” Munkustrap replyed looking at the baby and saw that it was almost the exact image of her mother. It had really big blue eyes, long almost white but blonde hair, her ears were more pointed, and her nose was smaller and more pointed. Asparagus started searching the body and found a letter and a small bag that he wasn’t sure of and brung them to Munkustrap who just nodded. “Come with me back into the junkyard I need to tell them something.” Munkustrap then turned towards to junkyard as Skimble picked up the baby, gently, in his mouth. Asparagus picked up the items he found and then the cats walked back to the junkyard.
