This = my life story.
My name is Tara Jayne. I was born on February 2, 1981. It was a cold winter day, and (haha just joking) For real, I'm 20 and am from Jackson, Michigan. I am a Junior at MSU. My five passions of life are band, friends, Back to the Future, Bon Jovi, and Huckleberry Groove! :)
Well, I'm in college now and I'm living in Landon with my cool friend Ashalina. She's a hoochie mama! hehe. I'm in the MSU Color Guard for marching band. (yay!!!) I've never marched guard in my life, but I was in winter guard, the 1st year they've had it at NW, and since MSU has no flutes in the marching band, I HAD to be in it so I tried out for guard! And to my surprise, I made it :) My freshmen year in the SMB was a blast, including many great half time shows, beating U of M (and every other team we played at home!) and a win at the Citrus Bowl! Sophomore year was pretty non-memorable... but junior year kicked butt with a win over U of M in the LAST SECOND!! Also a KICK butt win at the Silicon Valley Bowl, in rainy, muddy, San Jose, CA! I am the Vice President of Tau Beta Sigma, Zeta Epsilon chapter, which is an honorary service sorority for the bands. It is a great opportunity to get involved in something that I love, band! :) Click the banner to see our site, with some of my own pictures on it :)
I'm a Northwest High School graduate of 1999. Even though I'm not too fond of the school, I love the band program, it's the greatest! I played the flute and I was drum major of the marching band. That was the most rewarding experience I have ever had and I'm so glad I got to be it. I also made many life long friendships in the Northwest Bands, including directors (Mr. Martin), graduates ahead of me, like Shawna Jean, Marcy Ann, Eric, Geeda, Becki, etc. etc. (although some don't talk to me much...), people of my class, (Andrew, Andrea, Brian, etc.), and younger friends, (Dave, Cristine, Toad, Megan, David, Tracy, Becky, etc. etc.) These friends are a constant reminder of how much band influenced my life. Good luck to the band in the future with Mr. Kruse, you guys will be wonderful! I love you! I have had a few opportunities to go back and see my favorite band perform at homecoming, marching band festival, mountie montage, christmas concert, and concert festival. Every performance was outstanding! :)
I am currently the color guard instructor at Northwest! I have the priviledge and honor to work with this band that I have loved for so long. Nate Kruse is a great director to work with, and I have a very talented, hard working group of girls. Someday there will be pictures of them here!
I am a former SADD president, and was part of the organization for 3 years. I helped make it become almost 2 times the size it was before, and i'm confident it will continue to grow under the new leaders. Also, I am a member of the Emeritus Association, and will very likely be at the SADD-MI state conference next year! This picture is conference 98 (my senior year) opening ceremony, and from close to far they are: Alexis, Amanda, Spencie Wencie, Heather, Sara, ME :), Andrea Chunky Monkey, Kelly, and Cathy! Andrea is the new Pres and Alexis is the VP :) Good luck Lexis and Chunky! :)
I am single! Of course there is this guy that I really really really want...but matters are complicated at this time and I don't know what to do about him...but you know what, boys are dumb!
One of those obsessions... the BEST movie ever, back to the future!
Coming soon, more info about my new favorite band, Huckleberry Groove! For now, visit their site, huckleberrygroove.com!

That's about it!
These are my senior pictures. I hate the stupid flower one, and my favorite is the one with my puppy, Violet. She's my baby! :) (by the way, the picture at the top is my junior prom picture with my ex-boyfriend Eric)
