when I got her, and had not been trained to ride. She didn't mind at all being used as a lead-line pony. After a couple months of lead-line I was ready to ride by myself so Lorelei was sent for riding training. She had all her basics down and was doing low jumps in her first month. With only a couple of months of professional riding training Lorelei became a super Pony Club mount. We sure had fun! I got to do my first trail rides, my first "real" jumps (can she ever jump high!) and my Pony Club D-1 rating with her. When I outgrew Lorelei, she helped other kids learn to ride, and I expect she'll be doing that for some time to come! She's a gem.

Light Star Lorelei's Driving CareerLorelei had an extensive and highly successful Pleasure Driving career.Her wins are too nemerous to list, but some of the highlights are as follows: This was for the most points won in both Halter and Performance on a 5-show circuit which included the California Welsh Pony and Cob Show. |
Lorelei has given me several lovely foals: Epona Du Jet Star, Epona Du Perl and Epona Du Comet, who were all sired by Liseter Shining Star. She had previously produced two other foals with Star, Rainbow Dreams Starlight and Rainbow Dreams Starbright. Her last foal, sired by a Half-Welsh son of Star, is named Epona Du Black Diamond. |
