Faithfully (Ch. 17)

“What is that, Sarah?” Angela asked as she pointed to Sarah’s necklace. “TJ gave it to me. Oh by the way you don’t have to hide your ring from TJ & I anymore. TJ knows.” TJ laughed at how huge Stevie’s eyes got and said. “Yeah Scully. What ever happened to you telling my everything?” Stevie never said a word as he sunk in his seat just kept driving. “I thought you were a tough guy. Have you gone soft on us, Scully?” TJ laughed. Suddenly Stevie shot and evil look at TJ in the rear view mirror and asked. “What about you? I was there when you bought that necklace. That was right after you met Sarah. Wasn’t it? Oh yeah it was. I remember now. It was the very same day. And you just gave it to her? Talk about soft. C’mon Tick. Think about it.” Sarah immediately pulled away from TJ and turned to him. “You’ve had it for that long? You said that you knew I loved silver because I don’t own any gold. How could you have known that? Stevie take us back to the hotel. I’m getting my own room. Oh and by the way TJ, that girl can have you and the stupid necklace!” Sarah yelled as she threw the necklace at TJ. The whole way back to the hotel no one said talked. TJ and Sarah starred out their windows while Stevie and Angela lipped things to each other. Angela was the first to lip anything. “Do Something, Stevie.” “Like What?” “I don’t know. You tell me.” Both felt completely helpless as the watched both TJ & Sarah’s eyes fill up with tears. When they reached the hotel Sarah and TJ looked only once at each other and went their separate ways. TJ went to go lift weights to get it off of his mind and Sarah ran up to the room to move out of their room. As she started to put her things in her bags she started to cry. Then when she took Tj’s jacket off the necklace and a note fell out of the pocket. Sarah sat on the bed and read it to herself.

I meant every word I said. I do love you and you will always have my heart, no matter what. So I want you to keep this.

Sarah then grabbed the picture of the two of them by the bed and threw herself face down on the bed as she cried even harder in to the pillow. Angela stood in the door way of the room, watching Sarah cry and trying to think of a way to make her feel better. That’s when Stevie walked up behind her. Angela turned to face him and pushed him back across the hall in to their room and then started to yell at him. “Why did you have to go and say all of that? Now they won’t even speak to each other and both are completely miserable! Now go fix what you started! Go talk to TJ before Sarah leaves the hotel all together! Go!” Stevie immediately ran out of the room and down to the lobby where he saw TJ & Sarah hugging right outside of the elevators. “I’m sorry Sarah.” “Me too. I can’t believe I acted like that, TJ.” Stevie then went back up to his room. When TJ and Sarah got back to their room they noticed a note laying on the floor right in front of their door and on the outside it read “I’m sorry.” TJ picked up the note and they walked inside the room. Sarah sat on the edge of the bed and TJ red the note out loud.

“Tick, I’m sorry I said everything that I did. I know I shouldn’t have been so defensive. Sarah, I know what I said to TJ had a major affect on you and that was unfair to the both of you. And so to you I owe an apology as well. And to the both of you my deepest, most heart felt apology. Because of my actions I almost ruined something that is almost, not quite, but almost as good as Angela & I are. I’m truly sorry.

TJ the set the note down on one of the dressers and walked over to Sarah. He grabbed her hands and she stood up, as she looked in to eyes. As TJ pulled Sarah to him he said. “I don’t care what he says. We’re way better.” Sarah just smiled and took a deep breath as she looked up at TJ and then he kissed her again. Meanwhile, standing outside of their door were Angela & Stevie, listening. When they heard Sarah start to laugh because TJ started to tickle her, Stevie kissed Angela and said. “You’re welcome.” Then they both went back to their room. TJ was chasing Sarah around the room trying to tickle her again. Just as he had her cornered and picked her up, by the waist, someone knocked on the door. They both looked up towards the door as TJ set Sarah down and neither one said a word. Remembering about the “crazed” fan TJ quietly told Sarah to stay out of site. He slowly walked up to the door and looked through the peep hole. Then he told Sarah. “It’s ok. It’s only Tilky.” So Sarah stepped in front of the mirror to fix hair. When TJ opened the door and Tilky saw Sarah fixing her hair and his eyes got huge.
