Chapter 11 (More Than Anything)

Mack ran in the house telling Diana he had heard gunshots, saw a car’s headlights, and heard screams. The guys knew that the girls were out there and ran outside when they saw Megan run up to them and hugged Ike. “OHMIGOD!” Zac yelled “Ike, she’s covered in blood!” Megan who was already crying said something about Amy and Sarah when Chad and Tay took off running down the road to find Kylie sitting on the side of the road crying and Amy and Sarah lying on the ground in pools of blood. “OHMIGOD, Kylie what happened? Who was it?” Chad yelled begging Kylie to say something while Tay was too busy holding Sarah, who seemed to be unconscious. Chad ran over to Amy and picked her up holding her just as Tay was doing with Sarah. Soon after the whole family showed up and saw Kylie still sitting on the side of the road in a ball crying, not saying a word. Zac sat next to her and hugged her. Tay and Chad were still holding and rocking the girls when Diana noticed Tay was rocking Sarah and tears filled her eyes. That’s when Zac noticed Kylie had blood on her too not knowing if it was Sarah’s, Amy’s, or her own. The ambulance showed up and took all four girls to the hospital to be checked out. After the doctor told Megan and Kylie they were ok they went to the police station to report what had happened. Kylie, still not talking stood there starring off into space as Megan told everything that happened. “It was a small, red car with about 4 -or- 5 girls in it. All we heard was something about The guys being theirs and then the gun went off. The next thing I know Kylie is screaming, I have blood on me and I’m running to the house crying. That’s all I remember.” At the hospital, Amy and Sarah were put into a room for recovery. Tay was sitting next to Sarah, Chad next to Amy, and the rest of the family in the waiting room when everyone else came in. They walked right by everyone and into the girl’s room and then the doctor walked in with the bad news.
