Chapter 13 (More Than Anything)
The next morning right before everyone went to the hospital again Zac noticed Kylie still wasn’t talking or eating. “Kylie, are you ok? You haven’t talked or eaten since the accident.” Kylie looked at him and shook her head. “Kylie, please talk to me. I can’t help you if you don’t tell me what’s wrong.” She looked at Zac and faintly said... “She can’t die. If she dies, I’ll be all alone.” Zac was so happy that Kylie finally talked to him that he started to get a little too hyper. He picked her up and carried her out to the car then ran back inside and made her a sandwich, then ran back out to the car. “Ok Kylie, I’ve gotten you to talk to me now please eat for me.” She looked at Zac and then at the sandwich and then started to cry again. “I can’t... not yet anyway.” Zac, who looked scared about Kylie not eating threw the sandwich and started yelling at Kylie “EAT! IF YOU DON’T YOU’RE GOING TO DIE JUST LIKE SARAH IS GOING TO! SARAH GOT SHOT! THERE’S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT! YOU CAN’T SAVE HER BUT YOU CAN SAVE YOURSELF! EAT OR YOU’LL END UP AND ANOREXIC!” Zac started to calm down when he realized that Kylie was crying even harder now and that the only reason he was yelling was because he loved her and didn’t want to loose his “love” like his brother, Tay, was going to do. Zac didn’t think he could handle loosing Kylie to a disease that once it caught you didn’t let ever let go and you die. “Kylie, please. I need you to eat. Kylie, I... I... I love you. Please don’t leave me with the same pain that Tay is going to have. I won’t be able to stand it. Please eat for me.” Kylie looked at Zac and hugged him ,then she whispered in his ear “I love you too.” Ike and Megan came out and got in the car. Ike turned around “You guys ready to go?” “You ready, Kylie?” Kylie smiled at Zac and said “I’m ready as I’ll ever be.” Then, Zac took Kylie’s hand and they drove off towards the hospital.
