About Me



PictureMy name is Carrie. This picture was taken March of 2001. I'm a bit overweight right now, since I quit smoking March of 2000, but I'm working on it!

I am 37 years old, a mother of three wonderful kids and am married to my best friend.I've gotten serious about learning Web Design - by editing for The Open Directory Project and volunteering at the SelfhelpMagazine. I now hold the title of Co-Web Mistress, along with being Web Mistress of it's sister site, TeleHealthNet. My little outlaws I enjoy my time spent as a Girl Scout Junior Leader, too. I have a troop of 15 Fourth grade girls (including my own little angel) who keep me on my toes. My older son (12) attends confirmation classes, and my daughter takes ice skating lessons every Saturday. My youngest son (7) is a Boy Scout, so things don't look to be slowing down any time soon! He and his sister also play Little League every spring. You can see all my kids pictures here.

Living in Michigan, for someone who hates the cold, can be tough. That's one reason I'm grateful for books. I enjoy most fiction, but have a special love for horror and fantasy. Even after a day when the kids stretch my patience to it's utmost and I'm feeling overwrought with the demands of day to day living, I can curl up with King, Lumley, Tolkien or many other great writer's works and within a couple hours feel rejuvenated. That is a magic I'm trying to recreate by writing my own short story, titled "Somewhere Else". I'm presently shopping it around to magazines for publication.

Another of my passions is music. Rock, metal, jazz and swing are my favorites. On any given day you could find me doing my housework to Benny Goodman, The Righteous Brothers, Aerosmith or Tina Turner.
