How will this race be remembered in the next few months? Wil it be the race where a brilliant passing maneuver by Mika Hakkinen led to his three-peat as champio, or will it be the last gasp of the defending champ as Michael Schumacher's brilliance on the road overcomes the shortfalls of driving a less-than-perfect racecar?
This was a really, really exciting race. I thought it was the most entertaining of the whole season. My only unfulfilled hope was that Mika would not have recovered so well from that spin, and would have instead parked that silver car on the side of the track, giving Michael the points he so desperately needs to win the championship. Oh oh, did I just sound uncertain about Schumi's destiny to win the F1 driver's title this year? Could it really happen? I doubt it. I think Al Gore has a better chance of becoming president than Mika.... Oh oh...
