Without the use of the course text or class notes, the student will define the term evidence.
Back in goal #2 it was noted that "The information an investigator will use in court is 'evidence'."
Evidence was defined at that point as
"Anything that supports proof."

Proof was noted to be the conclusion drawn by a court based upon the evidence placed before it.
Evidence was noted to be tangible (such as a murder weapon, drugs or documents) or intangible (such as testimony).
