Member Policy

I will not post submissions on the page if the submittor is not a member! I have received several items from nonmembers. This is a club - if I posted nonmember submissions I would be contradicting myself and defeating my purpose. The only nonmember thing on the page will be the Quote and Poetry Corner on the newsletter, and I will not put submitted quotes and poems on it. These will be personally selected by myself. Please - DON'T submit unless you are a member! And members, please include your nicknames on your submissions. It is less time-consuming for me - the member list on hotmail takes forever to load, and with close to seven hundred members organized alphabetically by nickname, it's not easy to find you. ;)

Copyright Policy

There are many items on the copyright policy that I would like to state. First, the OLWC and its webpage content (excluding the member submissions) are all copyrighted by the Club Administrator, myself (Ghenfyn.) All member submissions are copyrighted by the author and will not be repeated anywhere without the permission of that author. I will not take reponsibility for any copyright infringements upon other people on submissions sent to me by my members. I could hardly have known about these. If you wish to let someone know, let the member know, and tell the member to ask me to take his story off of my page. If it does not happen within a month, than you may contact me, and make sure you send every bit of proof you have. I won't just take it off because you gave me your word on it - that would upset myself and my members and it is very likely that it could be a hoax. Don't try to blame me for any copyright infringements that have to do with member submissions unless you have proof! If it is an infringement upon the page itself by me, then please, let me know! I intend none! Also, another thing on the newsletter. The Quote and Poetry Corner section will be selected with permission of the author, unless the author is deceased, the poem is from the Bible, or the author is unknown. Before I post a story on the page, I do go through and edit it, correcting spelling errors, run-on sentences, spacing errors, and possible punctuation errors. If you do not wish me to do this, I understand. Just tell me. Once, I received a submission so badly edited that I tried really hard to change the sentences around without changing to story. The person obviously didn't know English...if you don't know English very well, please ask for help. I hate to worry about possible infringements I might be making! I don't like doing to much grammar editing, but I don't like rejecting either, and I won't post extremely bad grammar on my page. Usually everything stays the same expect spelling and punctuation. I do not change your story in any way other than spelling (I do not change names), punctuation (if it can only be wrong), and grammar (very rarely, only if it is extremely bad.)

There, I have stated all the policies on my mind at the moment! Now you can go ahead and
