Brother Carl and I Pose For A Picture Taken by My Daughter, Sue September 30th, 2001

We had a nice three day visit with my Brother Carl and wife Elaine From Friday September 28th up to nearly noon on Sunday Sept. 30th, 2001. As most of your reading this know, Brother Carl. had a Brain Tumor operation back in February of 2000. He came through it all pretty well. Does have bit of a problem walking, has short term memory loss but long term memory very good. As noted above he is now at an Assisted Living Home. It is really a nice place. With a daily charge for being there. About half of a regular nursing home. The home also has an outside walking area for those who like daily walks.

He has his own private room. with not all the comforts of home but a lot of them. The establishment has a beautiful dinning room, with good personnel to take care of the residents. Food is good, care is excellent and if you have to live in a care center, this one is really nice.

Brother Carl did have a couple of TIA's durning September, one which he had at the breakfast table and he fell off his chair. Bruised his hip, which had been repaired a few years ago. But was up and walking within a day. He is now getting around pretty well. *********************************************************
