Tonja and DeAndre's Wild Alaskan Adventure

Tonja and DeAndre came out to Alaska around the beginning of September and their adventure was all over the state from Whittier and the ocean to the Arctic Circle!

First Alaskan Climb

The three of us attempted to climb "FLATTOP", but our healthy respect of heights got the better of us...

FLATTOP

It is easy to see why this mountain is named Flattop. The trail isn't so bad, but you need to be able to over come fears.

This is our SUMMIT!

We made it up about half way to the top and found a nice place to rest. On this day we were able to see DENALI!

With our backs to Anchorage, this spot is a great overlook. We made one trip up here at night and it was quite impressive.

Tonja spent three very active weeks in Alaska, and even tried climbing a few different times!

We had to drive threw a three mile long tunnel to get to Whittier, Alaska, but the place was BEAUTIFUL!

Preparing for the six hour ferry ride from Whittier to Valdez.

The ferry ride was very scenic and along the entire trip we saw plenty of glaciers!

TITANIC? No, our Captain avoided hitting any icebergs, but we got really close...

Tonja's family had always wondered what happen to good ol' Uncle Billy, now we know he moved to Alaska.
