Grinder Joe Kocur is one of Detroit's remaining Bruiser Boys who enforce on the ice. Playing in a men's over 30 league at the begining of the 96-97 season, Joey rejoined the Wings after Christmas in 96. Previously Joe had played with the Rangers and had already won the cup."After we beat Colorado in the playoffs, Joey came up to me and whispered 'The next one's better' in my ear" said teamate Darren McCarty.Joe is a tough guy and has been named by many hockey fans as one of the best fighters of the league."Joey plays a bump and grind sytle, he's as tough as they come." said Teamate and fellow grind-liner Kirk Maltby. It's a good thing that joey came back just in time to win the cup.
