Nicklas Lidstrom

Defensemen Nicklas Lidstrom has always been a very key player for the Wings since he joined the team in 1989. He has been called 'the most underrated player in the league' by many. He had the first goal of the Stanley Cup-winning game in 1997, and he also made one of the best plays in the '97 playoffs during game 2 against colorado when he jumped in front of an open net to preserve the wings' lead. He often plays more minutes in a game than any other player on the team, and his teamates love him.
