DAWN
The air is still
at the night's last hour,
before the dawn breaks through
like an opening flower.
The soft moonbeams
will soon be gone
as the sun's warm rays
begin the dawn.
The night is quiet
just before it goes.
It's sad to leave,
and it goes so slow.
The world stands still
as the dawn breaks through
in an array of colors
of glorious hues.
Across the sky
comes a multitude of color
at the end of the summer night's
last hour.
