Well, you are obviously here because you want to know something about me. Let me see what I can come up with. :o) I can't promise you it will be interesting, but hey, if you don't like it you can always go read some poems, eh? :o) First of all, here is a photo of me. It's not a great photo, but we don't always take great photos, now do we?

Okay...so, about me. My name is Tina Marie. I was born in Chicago, Illinois, in September of 1966. For those of you who don't want to do the math, that makes me thirty-two years old. I rather enjoy being in the thirty-something crowd. I must be the only person I know who bragged to the whole world when the thirtieth birthday rolled around. :o)

I have a wonderfully charming six year old son, Cody. It has been just me and Cody, taking care of each other, since he was about two years old. I think we've been doing a pretty good job of it. :o) Of course, you can see lots of pictures of Cody in the photo album. He's a cute and loveable kid, you should probably take a peek. ;-)

Cody and I live in Holland, Michigan, a lovely town on Lake Michigan's eastern shore. Michigan is a wonderful state...there is so much to do here, especially if you are the outdoorsy type. The lakes are fantastic, the shoreline is absolutely beautiful, and we have some of he finest beaches you will ever see. Just a bit of trivia for you: Did you know that the Michigan shoreline has more lighthouses than any other state in the country? Well, it's true...and now you know. :o) Something else of interest: Lake Michigan's eastern shore, which is Michigan's western shore, has "singing sands". Yes, it's called the "singing sands of west Michigan". I'm not sure why, but the sand squeaks (or sings) as you walk across it. It's pretty cool. And the beaches along Michigan's western shore are the only beaches in America which have these "singing sands". Bet you didn't know that, did ya? Makes you want to come and check it out, huh? :o) Well, check the photo album, and you'll find some breathtakingly beautiful photos of Michigan, the lake, the lighthouses, and the town we live in.

As far as my hobbies go, you are looking at one right now. I am just learning html and web building, and having a dandy good time doing it. Haha. Actually, it's been a big pain in the behind, but I've enjoyed it. I like to read, and I love poetry, both reading and writing it. I have been writing poetry since childhood. I have hundreds of them. Many of them are pretty crappy, but a lot of them are really nice. Be sure to take some time to read at least a few of them. And let me know what you think. You can email me, or write it in my guestbook...whichever is more convenient for you (however, I would love it if you would take the time to sign my guestbook also).

Other things I like to do....I enjoy sports, I love walking, bike riding, hiking, and the lake. I have quite a fascination with lighthouses, and enjoy photographing them, and just looking at them.

You may have noticed that many of my poems refer to women. Yes, this IS because I am a lesbian. Finally, after two marriages to men, and years of searching for what seemed to be an ever elusive piece of happiness, I have found myself. I have been "out" for two years now, and am very happy with who and what I am. :o) Isn't that wonderful? :o)

Okay, so that's about it. I am not a complex person, and there really isn't a lot to say, though I do manage to be long-winded at times.

I sincerely hope you will enjoy the site, but most of all the poetry... because that's what this is all about. That's who I am. :o)
